A supply chain briefing from
|
And the attention getting subject this quarter is... LEAN. We continue to see momentum building across industries and beyond manufacturing around this powerful approach to improvement. So as Lean works its magic on supply chains we not only want to provide our readers insights via this newsletter but subject matter experts and a unique value add offering. We begin by introducing Simon Baxter, Lean Blackbelt and the newest addition to the eKNOWtion team. You can tap into this expertise directly via the blog or through our Lean Supply Chain offering.
Technology Forecasters commissioned a comprehensive study, carried out by Kathleen Geraghty and Hitesh Attri. Bruce Rayner provides a summary of the State of Lean in Electronics Supply Chains and useful data points that you can bring into local discussions regardless of industry. Consider the Convergence of Lean, Six Sigma and SCOR. Douglas Kent and Hitesh Attri challenge a one track approach to improvement efforts. This article zeros in on the strengths, weaknesses and synergy between the three leading methodologies.
Finally, don't miss the opportunity to participate in another groundbreaking study. We turn our attention to Informed Outsourcing Decisions. Details are below under Research Academy and participants will receive an executive summary of the results.
Best Regards,

Welcome to my version of speakers corner and I am on my soapbox and ready. And what am I going to talk about? It’s Lean.
