 Hitesh Attri 
Serving as Supply Chain Consultant for eKNOWtion, Hitesh has experience that includes analysis, design and implementation of supply chain solutions for clients. His work leverages expertise with the Supply Chain Council’s Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR®) model, operations research with an emphasis on technological enablers including supply chain design and optimization and advanced planning tools. Hitesh draws from his operational and academic experience as a key contributor to eKNOWtion’s research and educational efforts; developing content for workshops and seminars offered by eKNOWtion’s KNOWledge Academy, conducting client research and competitor analysis and managing the firm’s knowledge repository.
 
  • Before joining eKNOWtion, Hitesh worked as a Software Engineer for i2 Technologies where he was part of the Supplier Relationship Management team and also gained knowledge of products offered by i2 in Supply Chain Management (SCM) domain.
  • Hitesh has an M.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. and holds a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
  • Hitesh was a Graduate Research Assistant for Center for High Performance Manufacturing at Virginia Tech. where he was involved in projects using Value Engineering Techniques. He was also a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech., with responsibilities at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Hitesh was awarded Ingersol Rand Scholarship 2003-2004 for outstanding academic achievements at Virginia Tech. and National Talent Search Scholarship by National Council of Education Research & Training (India) from 1995-2001.
  • Hitesh is APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and has been a regular member of industry organizations such as Supply Chain Council, APICS and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

    Simon Baxter

     Simon Baxter 
    Serving as an Associate Consultant, Simon contributes to client value through eKNOWtion’s projects and training initiatives using skills and experience gained over nearly 20 years as a practitioner in a range of roles for multi-national companies in the electro-mechanical and electronics industry.
     
  • Before joining eKNOWtion, Simon worked at Solectron Scotland Ltd, most recently as part of Solectron’s Six Sigma Lean transformation team. As Lean Materials Leader, Simon focused on extending Lean initiatives within Solectron Scotland’s supply chain from the materials group through their customers supply chain, by leading/facilitating a large number of wide ranging improvement projects and kaizens. This has given Simon a very practical, 'hands-on' approach to change facilitation.
  • Prior to this, Simon led the Supplier Quality Engineering team at Solectron Scotland, with technical and quality responsibilities for supplier selection/approval and ongoing management.
  • Simon has also served in supplier development and quality roles with Tokheim, Schlumberger and Bridon. While at Bridon, Simon was responsible for consulting on quality systems implementation, leading and training quality system auditors and training in quality management.
  • Simon holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Bradford University, England and is also a certified Lean Black Belt. In addition, Simon holds qualifications in Quality Management, Quality Systems assessment and is a member of the Chartered Quality Institute.

    Jon Gilbert

     Jon Gilbert 
    Serving as an Associate Consultant for eKNOWtion, Jon is an expert in supply chain management, logistics, and planning, with over 19 years of experience in improving service, reducing cost, increasing efficiency, and integrating new technologies in diverse industries. 
     
  • Jon conducts research and provides consulting services in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, and operations. He also has substantial experience in transportation operations planning, optimization, and capacity analysis.
  • Prior to joining eKNOWtion, Jon was Vice President, Logistics for NuCO2, a US-national carbon dioxide gas distributor where he was responsible for all supply chain planning, logistics, and centralized transportation management.   At the time, NuCO2 operated a fleet of over 225 trucks serving 70,000 customers with over 17,000 deliveries a week.
  • Previously, he was Director of Operations for electronics component manufacturer MF Electronics, a primary supplier to Cisco Systems and other prominent networking equipment OEMs and their contract manufacturers.
  • Jon also managed supply chain planning at BOC Edwards Electronic Gases, a major supplier of electronics process gases, chemicals, and equipment to the semiconductor industry.  Also at BOC, Jon led IT-related supply chain planning projects, and helped plan and assess major capital projects as part of the business planning group.
  • He started his career in national account sales and marketing at Pyle Corporation, a diversified transportation and distribution services provider in the northeastern US.
  • Jon earned a B.S. from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University.  He is a member of CSCMP, and the Railway Industrial Clearance Association.

    Julian Morley

     Julian Morley 
    Julian is a business strategy consultant, with experience in business transformation, complex organizational change and supply chain excellence within both the public sector and a number of industry sectors. He has the experience to apply good practice at both senior executive and practitioner levels within an organisation and provide focus on delivering results.

    In addition to Julian’s public sector work which focused on key improvement areas such as collaboration, corporate procurement and business transformation, Julian has worked extensively in the private sector on supply chain strategy and implementing change programmes at BSkyB, Avon Cosmetics, Siemens, Alcatel, Nokia, GEC, BAE Systems and Inverness Medical saving over £40m of costs. He has also held senior positions at Hewlett Packard and Mars.


    Julian has an MBA from the Ecole Europeene des Affaires (EAP) in Paris, is a Sainsbury Management Fellow and an engineering graduate of the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining eKNOWtion as an Associate Consultant, Julian’s twenty (20) years of experience includes:

    • Setting up a regional hub to drive collaboration and innovation across 51 local authorities in the public sector in the South West.
    • Leveraging the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR®) model to shape supply chain strategy as a Principal consultant at Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) where also he led programmes of supply chain change in blue chip businesses across Europe and gained specific expertise is sales and operations planning (S&OP) and advanced planning as well as experience of outsourcing in Asia.
    • Turning around the accessories business for Hewlett Packard's commercial computer accessories business, increasing revenues by £100m in just 12 months.
    • Running the S&OP process for Hewlett Packard’s $2b commercial desktop PC division for 2 years throughout 4 manufacturing sites in Singapore, Mexico, France and US.

    • Leading the Business Transformation programme for the South West Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (SW RIEP) supporting Local Authority Senior teams
    • Driving transformation initiatives in leading CPG companies such as Avon Cosmetics focused in key areas of global procurement, Concept-to-Market complexity reduction, consumer focused design and supply chain cost reduction.
    • While at Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM), Anita grasped the opportunity to deliver firm-wide projects such as the development and delivery of a new pan-European supply chain and an innovation benchmark review for over 30 consumer goods companies.   Anita also held senior interim management roles in client organisations such as Interim Director of Supply Chain for life sciences company Aviron.
    • Prior to consulting Anita was the Owner/Managing Director of a Chemical Trading start-up company sourcing speciality and commodity raw materials and intermediates from emerging markets.  However, before starting her own company Anita held a number of senior procurement and operations roles at SmithKline Beecham, Zeneca Agrochemicals and ICI having been recruited into ICI’s fast track graduate scheme.
    • Anita has an MBA (distinction) from London Business School and a BSc. in Chemistry (distinction) from King College London University.

    Ricardo Velez Osuna

    • Serving on eKNOWtion’s Research Roundtable and as an Associate Consultant, Ricardo has experience that includes a wide range of topics covering the areas of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing Systems. His research focuses on the concurrent deployment of business processes and manufacturing activities, taking into account the whole value chain – from product development to delivery.
    • Ricardo currently serves as a Research and Project Manager at the Institute of Production Engineering at Tampere University of Technology, Finland, leading a team of highly skilled and multi-cultural individuals in the area of System Design. The research areas include Supply Chain Management and Value Networks, Modelling and Simulation of Manufacturing Systems and Value Networks, Knowledge-based systems for product, process and system design, development and execution, and Distributed Systems, as well as Change Management for highly dynamic enterprises.
    • He also functions as R&D Manager for Visual Components, an innovative , world leading 3D simulation software developing company, which focuses on modelling and simulation of manufacturing systems, including robotics, material handling and logistics systems.
    • Ricardo holds a B.Eng. in Industrial Electronics from Universidad Regiomontana, Monterrey, in his home country of México. He received his M.Sc. from Tampere University of Technology in the area of Production Engineering, focusing on eManufacturing implementation in the Electronics Industry, and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the area of Production and Business Information Management.
    • Prior to his posts at Academy and Industry in Finland, he worked as a training engineer and industrial designer for several Mexican companies.
    • Ricardo has written over 20 journal, international conference, and magazine articles, and has presented in many international conferences and industry meetings.
    • He participates actively in the community of the Supply Chain Council, and is currently a member of the Design Chain Operations Reference (DCOR©) Technical Development Project Team.
