Chicago, IL, October 8, 2009 - Simon Baxter "SCORES" Instructor certification Simon Baxter, Associate Consultant to eKNOWtion, became a Certified SCOR® Instructor in Zurich, Switzerland on Sept 22/23, 2009. Mr. Baxter was already a Certified SCOR® Professional, but now can add "Instructor" to his credentials after successfully teaching a Supply Chain Council SCOR® Framework course. eKNOWtion President Douglas Kent commented "We are very pleased that Simon Baxter has been Certified as a SCOR® Instructor. Simon has worked previously at Solectron Scotland Ltd, most recently as Lean Materials Leader and part of Solectron’s Six Sigma Lean transformation team. Prior to this, he led the Supplier Quality Engineering team at Solectron Scotland, with technical and quality responsibilities for supplier selection/approval and ongoing management. Mr. Baxter is also a certified Lean Black Belt and holds qualifications in Quality Management, Quality Systems assessment and is a member of the Chartered Quality Institute. Chicago, IL, October 7, 2009 - Douglas Kent wins "Best Speaker at the Conference" award at 31st SAPICS conference Douglas Kent won the Terry Smee Award for Best Speaker at the 2009 annual SAPICS conference in Sun City, having been selected from amongst 30 presentations. Mr. Kent’s winning presentation is entitled Supply Chain Management - It’s a Risky Business. With near record attendance and outstanding exhibitions, the conference attracted 930 delegates and hosted numerous interactive workshops and idea-exchange sessions. In addition to his role as Chairman of the European Supply Chain Council's leadership team, Mr. Kent serves as the President of eKNOWtion, a global supply chain consultancy, and Chief Strategist and Director of InForum for the Electronic Industry's Quarterly Forum. The 2010 SAPICS Conference will take place in Sun City, 24-28 July 2010.
